. I teach Humanities I, Humanities II, Dual Credit Comp I and British Lit I.This is my 51th year of teaching. My degrees are all in English with a minor in Philosophy for the BA degree. I sponsor the Leo Club which is the largest club at WHS. It develops social and leadership skills, and provides students many opportunities for community service, travel abroad, and scholarships.
This is my philosophy of teaching: I believe that it is important for students to believe that you are there for their success, and that they will work harder to be successful if that feeling is perceived. Students require more than one mode of delivery, and today's styles of learning encompass many different styles. Keeping the lines communication open for all students, and be accessible is very important. Lastly, I demonstrate a thirst for lifelong learning.
I encourage you as a parent/guardian to contact me at any time. There are three parts of a successful team: the student, the parent, and the teacher. Together we can meet and address any and all challenges mandated by State.
